Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both matters. You are not locked into one.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That would round things out once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. Most retail brokers quote 100ms to 300ms.
Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
This is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does inform your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
